Whilst Harvard Business School remain in 1st place one again, April welcomed three newcomers to the Business School Top 10; Saïd Business School, INSEAD and HEC Paris. Just narrowly missing out on the Top 10 were Loughborough University School of Business, who climbed 86 positions to 11th place and were this month’s biggest mover in the Business School ranks.
Loughborough’s success comes from achieving a perfect 100/100 score for their Facebook activity in April, improving impressively upon their previous month’s score of 13/100. This was achieved by raising their average engagement-per-post from 12.9 in March to a whopping 1,751 in April. This number is staggering, when compared with the Business School average of 44.7 engagements-per-post. As a result, it’s unsurprising that the top Business School Facebook post of the month came from Loughborough University School of Business, in which they shared the story of an MBA Graduate who had recently completed his MBA internship. This post received 10,000 likes, and just reminds us how storytelling is such an effective marketing technique. People love people, and success stories often work really well for creating inspiring, engaging content.
The top Business School tweet in April comes from Warwick Business School, who take 10th place in the rank this month. The tweet relates to the topic creative leadership, and includes a video snippet. Video content is increasingly popular on Twitter, and statistics show that tweets with video drives engagement.
The top Business School post on Instagram came from the rank’s leaders, Harvard Business School, who celebrated their 108th birthday with an arty shot of the campus and a brief history of HBS. This kind of post encourages past, current and prospective students to engage, with commenters offering their congratulations.
